The i40, Hyundai’s response to the Ford Mondeo, will benefit from the energy efficiency technology that’s prominently displayed in the carmaker’s radical i-Flow Concept at the Geneva Motor Show.



The concept is equipped with an “intelligent” grille that controls the amount of air cooling for the engine. The model also has regenerative braking, a thermo-electric generator around the catalyst that provides power for ancillary services and an insulated engine that should keep sufficient heat overnight to restart the next morning at 40deg C.

Do they purposely make the H look like Honda's? Just another counterfeit car for people who really want a Lotus.

I noticed that all the hi-tech they're bragging about already exists on other cars minus the makes no sense "adjustabable" grille. Why would you not want to adjust the grille so the engine doesn't stay cool? Even in the winter, it only takes a few minutes for the engine to get hot. Who wants to run with an overly hot engine?

I guess since they're Korean (or not Japanese), auto "journalists" will blow a load the first chance they get.

btw, if you ignore the big gaping hole in the grille copied from other manufacturers (of which Ford is one), you'll see that the nose is just a ripoff of the late Ford/Mercury Cougar.

Hyundai won't admit it of course because Koreans don't acknowledge credit where its due...ever.
