Although there's a lot of love for the Ferrari F40, people tend to forget that the car that started it all. The stunning 288 GTO. The prancing horse had built unique cars before but this was the first proper flagship that was beyond the other vehicles at the time.

You just have to love how the differential is exposed from the rear end.

As one would expect, the 288 GTO is exceedingly rare and its value continues to rise as the years get tacked on. Seeing one is a treat.

And seeing one getting completely wrung out is essentially impossible these days. Until now, that is.

The folks over at Tax the Rich have shot an all-new clip of the 288 strutting its stuff. This is the same crew responsible for "rallying" a Rolls-Royce Phantom and Ferrari Enzo, and having a tug-of-war between two Ferrari F50s.
