In recent years there has been an explosion of personalization.

Think: You can get custom cases for your laptops, mobile phones and other electronic devices. But it seems that the age of personalization has taken a stronghold in the sneaker industry as well.

It's not just limited to ordinary consumer goods, either. As we just wrapped up our 2012 SEMA Show coverage, it's painfully evident that customizing rides has seen a serious uptick as well. And it's not just limited to your typical Honda Civics and Ford Mustangs. We're talking about the big guns from Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, etc.

And if you're lucky enough to engage Horacio Pagani and his genius to build you a Zonda or Huayra, you better believe that you have a say in that endeavor. Pagani has said he will continue production of the Zonda as long as folks keep asking.

One buyer took him up on that as seen in the video below. An owner was at Pagani's factory taking his new wheels for a ride with buddies when it was nabbed.

Sporting a purple paint job, gold wheels and the Italian flag's red, green and white on the brake calipers, it's certainly a bold choice.

But is THIS bold choice AWESOME or AWFUL?

What say you, Spies?

What you see here is an exclusive video of a brand new Pagani Huayra finished in purple carbon with gold wheels and the brake calipers with the italian tricolour. The car was doing several test drives on the road with the customer and his friends. Oh, looks fantastic if you ask me!
