It's not even a question anymore. If you have eyeballs that are attached to your brain, you know one thing -- it's sporting one of the ugliest mugs in the automotive business today.

However, after this brief story you'll now know a second thing about this hot hatch.

It's really fast around the Nurburgring.

Considering the "Green Hell" is considered the performance benchmark for most vehicles, this is an important test. But there is one catch, which makes this even more juicy.

This wasn't a test conducted by a professional racecar driver. Oh, and the vehicle was completely stock AND it also wasn't a press car.

When all was said and done, the M135i clocked a time of 8:05 around the 'Ring. Not impressed? Let me put this in perspective:

The M135i's time with a normal driver was faster than the following:

- BMW Z8
- Audi RS4
- BMW M6 (E63)
- Honda NSX-R
- Porsche Boxster S
- Porsche Cayman S
- BMW Z4 M Coupe
- BMW M5 (E60)

Still not impressed?

The M135i is just as fast as the BMW M3 (E92).

A stock
BMW M135i with a “regular” driver ran Nürburgring Nordschleife in 8:05 minutes, same time as the E92 M3 and faster than the 1M Coupe. At 8:05, the M135i is faster than the Z4 M Coupe, E60 M5, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and Porsche Cayman S.

The M135i was stock with Michelin Pilot SuperSport tires and a 6-speed manual transmission.

Watch new BMW M135i lapping the North Loop of Nürburgring in 8 minutes and 5 seconds from bridge to gantry. Far from a perfect lap, still nice time. This car works extremely well on Nordschleife - it is fast, balanced and its handling is really sweet.

Bone stock, not a press car. Michelin Pilot SuperSport tires, 6 speed manual, driver: Pavel Janda.
