The Jaguar F-Type has been quite a hit for a two-seater since its launch. I don't think Jaguar even expected it to sell as many units as it's been moving.

As such, the company recently updated the F to make it a bit more competitive. This included the addition of a manual gearbox and all-wheel drive for select variants. These are two things it really needed to take on cars like the Porsche 911 and Mercedes-AMG GT and better differentiate the leaping cat.

But, just how much more does the AWD model improve over its rear-wheel drive sibling? It seems that Autocar had a passing thought that it could take on the Nissan GT-R.

While it seems to be a bit of a reach given the credentials the GT-R's earned over the years, let's see just how well the F-Type does against the car otherwise known as Godzilla...
