gOne of the things about driving a super exotic car like an Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, et al is that they tend to be thirsty vehicles. I recently spent some time behind the Alcantara steering wheel of an Aston Martin V12 Vantage S and I achieved a fantastic 9.9 mpg.
Clearly, efficiency is not in store when you've got over 550 ponies and a lovely sounding V12 at the helm.
That's why you've got to keep your eyeballs on your fuel levels. Or, you'll wind up like the Indiana Pacers' Evan Turner. Video posted by one of his teammates shows precisely why. Turner didn't keep an eye on his California's gas gauge, or he took a chance and thought he could make it, and his calculations were off to say the least. When he rang up a teammate to provide some assistance, he brought a gas can and a whole lot of love via a cell phone video camera. You gotta feel for Turner's girlfriend!
