In the last moments of Top Gear's season 13, it became evident it was not business as usual. Introduced from the top of a lift -- due to the show's usual shenanigans -- Richard Hammond introduced the segment as a regular road-test.
But, that is where the normalcy ended.
Cueing up somber music and filled with jaw-dropping, sweeping shots of green pastures, Britain's latest pride and joy, an Aston Martin V12 Vantage, carves up the countryside. Jeremy Clarkson makes several profound statements in what must be the least dialogue ever recorded from the flamboyant personality.
To some, these mixed signals seemed to create an internet buzz over the past several days alluding to the end of Top Gear. But, they were wrong and they seemed to have missed the real message.
Regardless, every gearhead owes it to themselves to get a gander at what must be one of the most moving pieces of automotive journalism ever created.
