Here's something for the pompous Lexus bottom.

Anybody see the new Motortrend where the LS600h-L placed dead last in a comparison among $100k + luxury sedans? They said the LS hybrid over-promises and under-delivers in power, fuel economy, and luxury. The motortrend editors said the LS doesn't deserve a '600' badge, and they want to demote it to '500' status.
Lexus purports this car as a competitor to V12 luxury sedans like the 760Li and S600, but Motortrend found it to be inferior to the base model S550, the Jaguar Super V8, and the Maserati Quattroporte.

i don't think the article has been poste online yet. It's in the current Motortrend issue on newstands now - it has the new Nissan GT-R and the caption 'Corvette Killer' on the cover.

The only thing I like about the kit is the rear-end treatment.

The wheels are too big and ugly, the front fenders are too busy, and that crap around the windows as GOTTA go!

Not good... I like the other Wald kit better.

I've always thought their window shades have been in bad taste. I wonder why they still use them on every Lexus they tune.

These aftermarket tuners do more visual damage to the car rather than making it look "interesting". The LS is a classy car, but these slight body modifications just ruin the whole car for me.

Totally agree.

Aftermarket tuning sucks 99% of the time, and that 1% that doesn't suck outright is still not as good as stock.

Thats one mean lookin LS. A departure from the same old S550s & 750s. Even a kitted & bagged 2005 LS 430 looks impressive & rare.

Are you kidding me? The LS430 was one of the most boring cars ever designed. A radical body modification on that car would make it look even worse.

2 bad bill, ur wrong, just do a google IMAGE search on an LS 430. A 5 series isn't the definition of understated mean looks anymore, everyone puts angel eyes and an M kit on their 5 series now, or an AMG kit on their S , a well taken care of LS 430 looks rare and mean w/ the right kits and deep lips.

No, a well taken care of LS430 looks like a Lexus LS430, which looks like some cheap Mercedes ripoff from China. The LS460 is much better, but the LS430 is far from a great design.

Please, go away. You are just annoying and so wrong.

The LS460 is a great design that just needs a bit more flair. The LS430... wasn't. And even Lexus recognized that. Why do you think they changed their design philosophy?

No need to bash Audi. They are trend-setters in car design. A6. TT. R8. A8. Even the A4! They have all inspired copycat designs from any brand, and they have all won countless awards for their style.

Oh and, LOLOLOLOLOLOL, you think AUDI designs BMW ripoffs? What is wrong with you? You do realize, of course, that every single new Lexus sedan includes a Hoffmeister kink and a BMW 5 Series-esque trunk/taillight combination? Lexuses look nice, but like it or not, they are clearly BMW inspired.

Lexus doesn't use cheap. Look at the interior of a 90 LS 400 and compare it to a 90 Mercedes, lol. And what other car in '89 had the sculpted dual exhaust rear end of design of an LS 400? Not a skinny and long lookin Mercedes S class.

You cannot be serious...Lexus looked like an economy car in 1990 while Mercedes was still clearly dominating the auto world. The S class model you are talking about was built between 1979 and 1991 and was considered one of the best designs ever created. Your 1990 LS is not part of the elite cars kept as examples of the history of the Automobile like that Mercedes is. I wish people will know what they are talking about before posting something.

It's not part of an elite line up, '90 LS 400 just looks better than a '90 S Class, ask ur girl if u have one, which looks better.

This new trend of cars comin w/ big body rear bumper w/ dual exhausts was started by Toyota back then in the late 80's. Toyota really had it down w/ the 92 GS 300. Back in '92, arguably the most modern lookin car was the GS 300. Some examples of them still look good 2 day, especially the ones w/ twin turbo set ups.

OK. But it isn't. It's a 1989 sedan. Nothing from 1989 looks modern today.

Yeah, i'd have to disagree here, I find the original LS incredibly bland looking:

This VIP Auto Salon version of the current LS looks good though.
