VW CEO to Step Down; To Be Replaced by Audi Boss

This is interesting. Porsche and VW have family ties- a recent one, for instance, is how Ferdinand Piëch is the grandson of Ferdinand Porsche. He's been a bit of a nuisance ever since he stepped down from VW head.

What will happen to Audi? Winterkorn has done a great job- and it was almost expected that this would happen. But still...

Audi needs an idealist. Someone who can, at the least, come up with a better ad company for its US operations. VW needs someone who can help EVERYTHING in their US operations.

I don't think this will have any effect on VW/Audi US operations--that's the part of the new President and CMO.

Who is de-boosting us?

I think that the Lexus fans come into all the German post rooms, just to de-boost us. Or maybe just Will.

I think this will be great for Audi. Winterkorn, installed as CEO of VW, will continue to foster Audi. With all the hard work he has put into building the brand he will be more supportive than Pischetsrieder. I also think that because all of his goals at Audi haven't been met, he will help them come to fruition.

I read through this entire post and didn't see your name anywhere. Curious that you admit to being the "Lexus psycho" posted above.

From what I can see, personality is your big problem, not what you drive. You have a morally superior attitude that makes people hate you. I personally don't care about Lexus either way. It's just a car.
