But it will never make it to the US. VW and Audi are against offering any type of Affordable performance cars here in the US.

$66K? Not even close. Maybe converted from euros/pounds, but direct conversions are never correct; cars are MUCH cheaper in the US. Expect the TT-S coupe to be $45K.

R32 is over-rated IMO. And the TTS costs well over $50K. I'm not sure why the R32 gets compared to the EVO and STI when it doesn't offer anywhere near the performance. I guess they are priced the same. Now there's my point. You have to spend more money with VW to get equal performance and in the case of the EVO and STI? VW doesn't even offer that much performance on any of their cars at any price. VW is still an Ecomomy car brand at heart and its ideas have spread to Audi.

I love hot hatches. This is really hot. This and the Civic RR hatch are my favorites. I love watching these types of cars in rally racing.

The Civic RR is not a hatchback, it's a sedan! Sorry to correct you.

I have to say that I'm not very happy that VW is not going to bring the production version to the US. I had a '79 VW Scirocco and absolutely loved that car! I'm waiting for the people to cry that it's "riced" out. Oh wait that's only for Japanese cars like the Civic RR. You see, the Honda Civic RR is a 240hp FWD car and the VW is a 321hp FWD car. I wonder what they're going to say about this?

It's total crap that VW can't bring a car to the US that most likely costs less then an Eos to build. In addition it has the Eos dash board. It seems to me that the most expensive part of the car is the adaptable suspension. No I think the real reason is the VW of America is afraid it will hut GTI and R32 sales. They are using the currency excuase as a way out of not selling the car here.
