I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

Video: BMW 135i vs BMW 335i vs 2002 BMW M3
Check out this latest comparison from Edmunds as they pin the 135i up against the 335i and the 2002 BMW M3.
Refresher:
BMW 135i: Power comes from a 3.0 liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine that produces 300-hp with a 6-speed transmission.
BMW 335i: Powered by the same 3.0 twin-turbo 6-cylinder from the 135i.
2002 BMW M3: 3.2 liter inline-6 that produces 333 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. Engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

135i appears to be the clear winner.
The King is dead (3-series), Long live the King (1-series).

Well, well, the One is beating th three, surprise, surprise...Just one question, why is it that Edmunds.com always gets the slowest times? For any car. Motortrend will get the 135i auto to 60 in 4.7 secs, whereas Edmunds has the manual and gets it to 60 in 5 seconds...

i believe Edmunds takes the average 0 to 60 time, where other source quote the fastest 0 to 60 time. personally, i see no value in the "fastest" if it means you can rarely achieve that accleration.

i believe an acceleration time should be quoted as the fastest achievable time at certain standard conditions.

No mention of no LSD for the 135 or 335. That is reason enough to stick with the E46 M3.
I am happy with my E36 M3.

Well ghosthunter, Motortrend said that they got consistent 4.7's when they did multiple runs. Something is up with the Edmunds times. They are usually by either a few tenths of sec to up to 5 tenths...

They aren't dumping the clutch at 4000 RPM like Car and Driver. These are more real world #'s versus, I don't own this car and don't have to worry about clutch life #'s.
