Video: Bugatti Veyron Hermes Edition

Why is it a waste? Hermès is the world's oldest saddlemaker- and is quite well respected in this and other areas.

I stand corrected by my 16-year-old sister; the world's oldest existing saddlemaker is Cliff Barnsby. That is what I get for repeating what I pick up somewhere as opposed to checking it.

Well, considering that one can buy a Rolls-Royce "Flying Lady" hood ornament made of diamonds set in platinum for $200,000, or a lifetime supply of Zymol's best car wax for $30,000, this $700,000 Hermes edition Bugatti has some competition for most outrageous waste of money on a car.

If I had $3,000,000 to blow on things automotive, I would probably purchase four vehicles at the following estimated prices:

1. Bugatti Veyron 16.4 - $1,700,000
2. Bentley Brooklands - 390,000
3. Bentley Flying Spur - 190,000
4. 2009 Audi A4 Avant - 50,000
Grand Total - $2,330,000

The remaining $670,000 would be spent on sales taxes, gas-guzzler taxes, other fees, insurance, and fuel.

Interestingly I heared VW yanked Bugatti production.

Seemingly I was wrong. Still, I can see Bugatti's filling dealer floors.
