I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

Video: Lexus IS-F tears up the Fuji Speedway
Besides the BMW M3, the Lexus IS-F is the only car this year that gives us that super-excited feeling when we write about it. And when we run across videos of the new beast from Lexus, it just makes it even better. Check out this new video of the Lexus IS-F tearing up the Fuji Speedway at the Fuji Speedway in Japan.

owered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine the rear-wheel-drive Lexus IS-F boosts 417 horsepower and 371 lb-ft of torque. No official 0-60 time has been announced yet. The car will go on sale in Japan in December for a price tag of 7,660,000 Yen ($65,742). US sales are expected to begin in February.

Mmm... It still doesn't convince me. It lacks the kind of excitement only models like the M3 and RS4 can provide

Not that M3 or RS4 is bad car, but the V8 sounds so boring. Same thing for IS-F.

IS-F doesn't seem to grip that well. The rear end seems kind of snappy, and you can see the driver slows down a lot at corner. Not that I like AWD, but with a heavy engine in the front, Toyota maybe should've consider AWD for it or at least put a wider rear tires.

Anyway, it's still unclear if IS-F is positioned similar to S4 or RS4(though S4 never makes much sense to me).

Time to show us Nurburgring laptime!

Good point XeroK00L.

In that case, wow, IS-F really surprise me. Now I'm convinced it can take on M3.

I can't wait to drive on of these. I'm as excited as when I got to drive a porsche 911 twin turbo for the first time back in 1993.

Don't ever compare a Lexus to a Porsche.

What was Lexus thinking?

The body looks too big for the chassis.
