Earlier this week, Mazda kicked off the production of the new Mazda2 at its Ujina Plant No.1. The first Mazda2 to come off the line is bound for Japan with sales to begin in the summer of 2007. The Mazda2 will come in three gasoline engines including a two 1.3 liter producing 75 HP and 84 horsepower and a 1.5-liter with an producing 103 horsepower.

Check out this video of the Mazda2 in action. From the video it seems like the Mazda2 is the perfect car for girls that like to get to and from the mall and can fit enough shopping bags in their compact fuel efficient cars. Seems like a perfect fit for the US. Read Article
