Volkswagen's V10 TDI finished the 12.4 mile hill climb in 14 minutes and 8 seconds at the hands of Mark Miller. The 12.4 climb consisted of 156 turns and reached altitudes up to 14,000 feet. The Touareg ran with only few minor safety related modifications and race driver Danny Sullivan says that: “Not only was the performance and handling great, but the Touareg was by far the most luxurious and quietest vehicle in the race.”
