So with all these reports on Porsche taking over Volkswagen in the near future, we were waiting for something like this to come along. Volkswagen insiders are saying that CEO Martin Winterkorn plans delay some changes to Volkswagen models. They say that he is focused on moving the Volkswagen brand up-market and wants to introduce some new key vehicles. The new Volkswagen strategy is to move away from volume sales and toward more premium buyers.
Brace yourselves, we might see the hideous Volkswagen Phaeton once again. The only thing that disappoints us that Volkswagen is the only German brand in the US to give us German engineering at a low-cost. Oh well, Toyota it is.
