Although last week we found out that the car will be called simply CC now Volkswagen reffers to the car as the Passat CC. The car will be powered by two direct-injection gasoline engines as well as a turbo-diesel: the gasoline engines will deliver 160 and 300 hp while the diesel power plant will deliver 140 hp. What's not to like? Answer: frameless doors. VW claims that these frameless doors come with unique window guides but what does that mean. I never did trust power windows to close properly with frameless doors. At highway speed, the glass tends to be sucked out and a lone driver has to reach way over to grab the top of the window and pull it inward so it will close and seal properly. This is an unsafe maneuver and one has to pull his fingers away at the last moment to avoid pinching them between the window glass and the roof.

What? I've driven several cars by several different manufacturers with frameless doors and have never seen anything like what you describe.

I Like it. But as usual us Yanks get the Weaker V6 engine and no new DSG. And I have to see how the sunroof works. If the roof is anything like the Audi A5's roof, then it isn't really a sun roof at all, just a glass roof that tilts up a little bit. This car is still on the list when it comes new car time for me within a year or so.
