Great to see VW succeeding outside of the US - too bad it has such a difficult time competing in the US market.

Yeah, I really don't understand it. Rabbit, GTI, Touareg2, EOS and Passat are all great products. Jetta is bland, though, and the New Beetle has seen better days... although it's still cute.

Having $240k in Accounts payable is very common for large companies.

Can we ban david989 already? He is just a troll. Making Toyota fan look bad by pretending (Pseudo-fan) to support Toyota and Lexus. He is just trying to start a flame war in almost every thread.

VW makes some nice looking vehicles, but their problem lies with quality and reliability (percieved or not) in North America. Also, they are usually more expensive then the cars they compete with in the North American market.

Thank you for putting in the "North America!" A knowledgeable person, for once!

I agree with your sentiments, although that wouldn't stop me from buying a GTI. That car really catches my eye. I also admire the cutsieness the EOS and New Beetle, though I wouldn't be caught dead in either. And the Passat, and the Touareg2, and the Rabbit. The only one I don't like is the Jetta, actually.

Here in Scandinavia VW is considered a great brand, with nice styling and good quality overall products. Never had a bad reputation here, like US & Korean cars have.

So for me its kinda ironic that the US market dont want VW´s :)

Americans go for the best product that suits their needs. High quality, reliability, and luxury are their needs in a LUXURY automobile. A disgruntled Audi fan is all you are.

Yes, unfortunatley in the USA VW's suffer from quality and slow to upgrade inventory to newer styling.

"A disgruntled Audi fan is all you are"

Not really, i drive an old Alfa V6 from the 80´s.

Never own a Audi or VW, but i do like the clean way of vw & Audi styling if that qualify me as a Audi fan ;)
