Michelin is teaming up with 0-60 Magazine to bring the experience of SEMA, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world, to one lucky auto enthusiast. Officially kicking-off today, auto aficionados can enter the promotion at www.0-60mag.com/sema and have the chance to attend SEMA in Las Vegas from October 30 – November 2, 2007.

“The SEMA event is by far the best industry showcase of the latest automotive equipment and hottest vehicles from around the world,” said Ben Harris, associate publisher of 0-60 Magazine. “If your favorite pastime is looking at cars then SEMA is your World Series and Super Bowl wrapped into one event.”

The promotion can be categorized as a dream experience for the Average Joe Car Nut because it isn’t accessible to the public. As part of the promotion, the winner will have access to the SEMA show floor with over 2 million square feet of exhibits, exclusive events, and their very own blog to show off their experiences and car knowledge. Entries will not be accepted after October 17, 2007.

The winner of the promotion will also have exclusive behind-the-scenes access to Michelin’s SEMA booth. The Michelin booth last year was described by show attendees as “greatest supercar display ever” featuring the world’s three fastest production cars: Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg CCX, the McLaren F1 LM all exclusively on Michelin tires.

“We work very hard to be the most chosen tire by the world’s highest performance car and motorcycle makers,” said Oscar Pereda, brand manager of high performance tires for Michelin North America. “Given the wide spectrum of performance vehicles and events covered in 0-60, we have an opportunity to reach more car enthusiasts and showcase the results of that work.”

0-60’s premier issue showcased the Viper on the front cover, which rides on Michelin tires. Coverage of the 24 Hour of Le Mans, which Michelin has 10 straight wins with Audi, Bentley, BMW and Porsche, and a story featuring a sport bike, which Michelin has been a dominant force in the world of sport bike racing.

Pereda added, “with SEMA being an industry only event, we’re excited to give this unique opportunity to one of 0-60’s passionate readers.”

In 2006, SEMA featured more than 2,000 newly introduced parts, tools and components, attracted over 100,000 industry leaders from over 100 countries, and hosted such notable celebrities as Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Jay Leno, Ice-T, Linda Vaughn, Boyd Coddington, Carroll Shelby, Chip Foose, Coolio, Mario and Michael Andretti, among others.
