Watch out BMW M5 Wagon: Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon in the works
e still don’t understand the point of high-performance station-wagons but apparently there is a well sought out market for them. A bunch of new Caddys are on the way including the recently revealed 2010 Cadillac Sport Wagon, 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe and the 2010 Cadillac SRX. The latter two will debut in the second-half of 2009 so for right now GM is all about the Cadillac Sport Wagon.

Shown at Pebble Beach this past weekend, the 2010 Cadillac Sport Wagon will come to the U.S. next year with two different powertrain choices. The base model will be powered by a 3.6 liter VVT producing 263-hp while the range-topper will get the 3.6 liter V6 direct-injection producing 304-hp. Europeans will get a 2.0 liter turbodiesel V6 producing 250-hp as well.

According to Cadillac’s product director, John Howell, a V-Series model will most likely be available but the timeline for that is unclear as of right now. That means we’ll see a Caddy wagon powered by...

I think the article means a 3.0 litre turbodiesel with 250 hp.

Cadillac is spot on with the Diesel idea. This is where Lincoln missed the mark with the upcoming 2010 Mark T or MKt. Yea, the MKt will eventually get a turbocharger added to the V6, but Diesel is the thinking outside the box, concept we need in this energy crisis.

Ford could use thier new F-150 4.4L baby Diesel in the MKt as the spy photos appear to be larger than the concept.

Lets face it folks, Diesel is the only way to power a big heavy vehicle. The Boating industry learned this leason decades ago. Yachts are powered by Diesel for good reason, Efficience, but more importantly, reliability, as no one wants to be strnded out to sea.

Electric circuits and batteries might be ok for a city car that replaces a bicycle mode of transportation in heavy wheather, but for long range interstate driving, Diesel is king.

Autocar picked the RS6 avant over the M5 touring. The RS6 is just a better car.

when are you going to actually contribute to the forum instead of attacking everything thats not a BMW....not to mention every Audi fan that is always following his post and than posting somethign as stupid, and bias, is crazy lol i mean comeon these posts about Audi as if Audi is diety is rediculous for one.....the RS6 is fast, and big, and not a bad super sedan but it still more of a grand tourer....the M5 has the edge in handling....and I would suspect the E63 could be faster in a straight line even given its power deficit.......As a driver’s tool, the M5 is more convincing, has the more engaging power delivery and a more exploitable chassis that still offers huge amounts of grip – if it’s wet just leave the traction control on! It’s also £10k cheaper.
quote from Car magazine in regards to the RS6 and the M5 its not a better car it just has more power, and a test to prove whether all that power makes a difference in such a heavy beast has yet to be seen

He's not.

Amazinbigot has apparently gone from trying to justify why Americans can't build good cars but still build BMW's, to trying to convince us that he is rich and noone else here is.

what is it about a bmw that makes you guys think is the hottest thing next to fish grease? is it the bland interiors? is it the sharp creases of bangle? i just don't get it, i'm trying but i don't.

The first CTS-V outperformed everything "M" at the time, so don't be surpirsed if the current M's are "EEONS" behind the V's again.

That "magic feel" you are talking about is actually an orgasm.

Now try it with a woman for once instead of a BMW magazine article.

That's pretty funny. Almost as good as the lube comment from the Lexus Princess. You can never have too many rwd sport wagons. Can't wait to see it.

This car will be a huge hit. Wagons are making a comeback. people are tired of Jellybean minivans or SUVs.
