Watch out V8 Vantage: Ferrari 2+2 hardtop convertible coming to Detroit
Remember last week we told you what Ferrari had planned in its future product line? One of the cars in development we spoke about was a 2+2 V8 Coupe. Well it seems like Ferrari will be bringing a convertible version of that car to the 2008 Detroit Auto Show in January.

Known as the ’F149' 430 GT California, the car will be powered by a 4.3 liter V8 direct-injection engine that produces 450 horsepower...

The V8 Vantage is a two-seat soft-top roadster.

This would be a DB9 competitor.

The article says $130k. If that's accurate, add dealer mark-ups and exclusivity premiums and I bet you would be up over $200k.

Look at the F430 spyder. New buyers were paying $350-400K for a car with an MSRP of around $200K. And that's IF you can get your hands on one.

Wow, holy crap. I had no idea there were ever 100% markups. That's horrendous. $130K would be reasonable- maybe I could wait until it cools off...

Well stated NARunner, Ferrari MSRP's are always boosted highley once the customer comes in and wants to drive one home. This is why i would personally just go to Italia and have one brought over off the line to my exact specifications. S4 i maybe this will help costs and you'll be able to get one to your exact specifications.
