We'd like you to make TWO separate top 5 lists.

Most women hate sensible transportation, so I wouldnt buy anything to impress a woman. I only buy cars that make me happy. Plus, buyng a car to impress a woman. Are you guys teenagers or adults? Come on!!!

How is it that women get to have the rights that feminists fought hard for, yet they revert to primal urges to slobber over trinkets that men have? Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, boo me give me a -20 for all I care. YOU GUYS KNOW IAM RIGHT THOUGH, AND I HOPE I MAKE THE WOMEN IN HERE THINK!!!

Calm down HyundaiSmoke, their are just as many guys that are fools for trinkets as there are girls. Why would expensive sports cars sell in the first place?

As to my choices.

1. Maserati GT (its panty droppinglicious)
2. Bentley CGT (ahh young wealth, to the stars we look)
3. F-150 (cause I live in a really hick part of the world)
4. Prius (if you are into hippy chicks)
5. Mustang (shows you aren't arrogant but still like to have fun)

uhmmmm probly something a lot more conservative... a mix of used benzes new lexus's and throw in some malibu's? Seriously though, if you are looking to impress a 35-50 year old with what you are driving then you must really be lacking in every other way that matters more (i.e. good job, nice house, clean cut apparel, etc.)

I agree henbmw, when I was single driving my friends Ferrari around town the women were all checking us out, You have no idea until you are driving an expensive flashy around,It was amusing. Later that night when I drove home in my monster truck F250 4x4 with 35s not a single woman looked my way! Luckily I have charm and good looks,lol

well it all depends on what type of girl you're trying to impress because if you're looking for a gorgeous hot chick for loving you can't put a Range Rover sport on your list that car is more likely to impress your wife...
Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, those exotic cars are still the best options if you want to impress a hot chick.

This is actually a very interesting thread. Will quite separate men from boys too since you have to know female psychology well to pick correct answers, LOL.

Being interested in psychological processes affecting our behavior, reasoning and preference, I once presented some 8 cars on another forum and asked FEMALE participants to pick their preferred ride without considering price. Contenders were:

1. Mini Cooper
2. BMW Z3 roadster
3. small stylish Peugeot cabriolet with a retractable hardtop
4. stylish Ford Mondeo estate
5. Audi A8
6. Lamborghini Gallardo
7. Volvo XC90
8. Toyota Sienna

Please guess which car was the most often picked. Hint - it won by a mile!

After that I'll share my thoughts about what psychological factors play the key role in women appeal to cars. Another hint - two persons in this thread already hit the nail on the head.

MrBratwurst, I think you missed the target a bit. The question wasn't which vehicle women prefer, it was which vehicle do girls prefer guys driving. Your answer would be comparable to saying that girls must love guys who wear sexy bras because they feel sexy when they wear them.

quite interesting!

i'll bet the toyota sienna scored a lot higher than most here would think!

the testosterone poisoned on this site cannot fathom the idea, but most women (vs. GIRLS) ultimately desire motherhood. hence, a rock solid reliable van would score high amongst them. the flashier, sporty and the "cute" cars may appeal to the little girls and partyng type; more mature women look for practicality.

(let's see if i get as many deboosts as you. proving we are FAR ahead of the crowd, and are resented for it!)

Anything with a Ferrari, BMW, Lexus or Mercedes logo
is a draw to single women. I don't think there are many that distinguish models, but they do understand that these are expensive vehicles, relatively speaking.

Since most women do not really know what cars cost becuase i have seen them drool over MB C classes, you can get off cheap becuase they dont know you can get one for only 33k and only reconize the badge for the most part this is my list.

1. MB/c-class
2. BMW Z4 (with the top off you will soon be taking the ladies top off.)
3. Chevy Corvette conv (a classic ladies magnet)
4. Saturn sky (just looks like it cost more than it does but just is a fun machine to drive.)

Women tend not to keep up with the varying models. But anything that says Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche, etc. Will get a woman's attention...Hell putting some nice rims on a clean E46 330ci will cathc their attention...

Anything that sounds expensive...

In my neck of the woods (Chicago), I'd say cars below are quite accurate.

For 25-30 year old women:

1. Lamborghini Gallardo
2. Porsche 911
3. Any Aston Martin
4. Bentley Continental GT
5. BMW 3 Series (for the 20 somethings)

For 35-50 year old women:

1. Mercedes S-Class
2. Porsche Cayenne
3. BMW 7 Series
4. Lexus LS
5. BMW X5

This list is true if you spend all your time at Rockit, the Underground, and Sunda - but if you don't spend all your time with floor traders then I would go with this list:
20-30:
1) S5 - even though the driving dynamics are questionable
2) 335xi coupe
3) GT-R - enough women in their 20's know what it is (in the 35-50 bracket it would be -1 points because they think it's ugly)

35-50
1) Cayenne S or better/X5/X6
3) 911 Turbo
4) XF / XKR

Thats in the 25-35 age bracket. As a matter of fact its about 50/50 they either love or detest my car. I usually let the ones that detested my car in the first place out drive it to try it, and after driving it they like it and say, "hey this car actually makes sense."

Then they say, "Hey youre a sensible guy." Then I get my world rocked that night like iam about to go out an do now. Lol!!

Women have been tested to see what car's engine noises made their blood pressure go up and get them excited. The Maserati V8 won the contest. The car also HAS to have an automatic gearbox because women want to have the ability to drive it to down Rodeo Drive in some quazi retarded fantasy. No girls drive stick anymore, especially younger ones.

Girls like guys that have a Ferrari because it show's power and discretionary income that can show they are strong providers. They however wouldn't want the Ferrari themselves they want someone to drive them around in it, but would not purchase it. Why do you think 95% of all Ferrari sales are men. They would rather spend the money on Jewelry and shoes and purchase an easier car to drive that is more comfortable for themselves.

Theno once I got married I bought a 1970 Hemicuda and a 1968 R/T Charger. Thats how I kept her. The wisdom here is start off small and once you get her then get out the big guns. That way in the beginning they didnt expect much. Kept the 1970 Challenger buy the way. And love my wife dearly.

the best guide is what women BUY FOR THEMSELVES!

in my neck of the woods, the overwhelming vehicle of choice for younger women is the toyota RAV4, with the Matrix a close second.

with older women, it's a Subaru wagon or sedan; all other choices are a DISTANT 2d, 3d, whatever.

i also notice here, that most Jeeps are owned/driven by women, not men. i even know a couple. (one got tired of the repair bills, and upgraded to a subaru wagon! the other has a hubby able to fix whatever breaks.)

some gal even had a bumper sticker: "Silly boys. Jeep is for girls!"

i've also noted that there are more women here driving pickups than most places outside of cowboy country. ditto women driving motorcycles!

also once saw a woman --an executive type-- driving a turbo Porsche.

among women drivers brave or SKILLED enuff to not require AWD, there are many who drive Priuses and other toyota models. and hondas. a few VWs, audis, bmws and benzes. most of those who drive domestics seem not able to afford, anything better and more reliable in our harsh clime.
