I was out surfing the 'net when I came across what I think is a creative and cute little advertisement for Volkswagen's all-new Golf MKVII. Unveiled recently, Volkswagen seems to be ramping up its efforts to let the buying public know that the all-new Golf is on its way.
But back to the commercial.
What I found particularly interesting was the choice of song -- not only because I am a BIG Depeche Mode fan -- because of its use of Depeche Mode's "People are People." VW, or its agency, creatively depicted a variety of folks listening to the same song but it was mixed to reflect the vibe and the passengers' personalities. Pretty cool stuff.
That got me thinking back to the many good memories of listening to Depeche Mode while cruising. For me, Depeche Mode is that band/group.
