What Will Be The Sexiest Color Choice For The Ultra Hot Lexus IS-F?
The IS-F debut is fast approaching, and we have discussed the theoretical performance and handling possibilities of this landmark vehicle for Lexus.
While most of us can agree that most of this is based off of pure speculation, one of the tangibles we haven’t discussed is what might be the most popular color for this beast.
The official Lexus color pallet for the IS-F is generally believed to be the following, in order from front to back...
Ultrasonic Blue
Starfire Pearl
Tungsten Pearl
Matador Red
Smoky Granite
Obsidian
Which color do you think would best showcase the first real performance vehicle for Lexus?

???
most japanese interior leather have very boring colors, period.

I have an S4 in Sprint Blue, which is possibly the best blue ever created.
The blue showcased on the IS-F is purplish disgustingness.
It really highlights the disproportionate hood and side skirts, which is not a good thing. White, which Lexus does very, very well, will look dazzling on this car- it does on the normal IS350.

Oh my, Like I give a rats rear what color it is. I just hope it stays on better than my 07 IS350. Not saying I don't like my IS, I traded a 2003 330 in on it, & never looked back. But, I personally preferred my old Bimmer's paint quality.

Ultra Hot Sexy Metallic Lust Beige will not be available?
What is with these lame article titles?
My real non-fan by based opinion is the blue mentioned above in post #1, of course.

From a reliable source at Lexus, these names will fill out the complete line for all vehicles in 2008:
Yawn White Beige
Slumber Blue Beige
Ensure Cream Beige
Denture White Beige
Alzheimers..something or other Beige
and
Sensible Shoe Brown, (not to be confused with the casket brown)

it will probably look the best in smokey granite, that has to be the best looking color in the lexus lineup. second place goes to obsidian, cause all cars look good in black.
i have no idea why they keep showing the car is that awful "ultrasonic blue", that is the ugliest, next to matador red.

Well the demographic they were showing for it indicates they might be on target.
Several survey I have seen show it will appeal to a much younger group than the M3. More of a step up for the Subi WRX crowd.

Right. As if buyers of the $25K WRX can easily afford the $55K+ IS-F.

I don't think so. It starts at $32K, I believe- how many options can there possibly be in such a spartan vehicle?
My point is, if it's the STi demographic they're after (it appears that it is), this is not the way to go. This is after the M3 buyers out there, and you know that. But I just don't see many trading for IS-Fs.

Why do I have the feeling that the IS-F will disappoint us in its outputted hp power, just like the GS460 did?
I hope I'm wrong, but I'm kind of feeling it.
So, I would say, give us some real numbers, then those numbers will make it hot no matter what color it wears.

I like those little things they sprayed the colors on. The curves give you a much better idea of what the color will look like on the car. So many auto makers just spray a color on a flat, square piece of metal and call it good.

When the IS-F does finally come out, will there be anything else left to argue over?
I guess there will always be the BMW vs. Lexus ashtray debate.
Or maybe discuss how the Lexus seatbelts aren't sporty enough.
And then there is always room for a heated discussion over who makes the most enthusiast-oriented glove box.
You guys are crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Ultrasonic Blue! No, maybe Starfire Pearl. No no, maybe Tungsten Pearl.Or maybe Matador Red. No, I think Smoky Granite looks better. Or Obsidian. No,not that.
I think the problem is not with the colors, but mainly with the car. Ultra hot? It won't keep any paint on it, it's supposed to be cold to paint a car. It definitely has a ultra long nose, a nose job is recommended before painting it.

That doesn't make it better.
Was the C55 AMG better than the E46 M3? Nope! And even I can admit that the B6/B7 S4 was certainly no match for the M3.
The RS4... that's different. The C63, also. But like I said, it has more to do with almost everything else than only horsepower.

even it it does (which i doubt), i'm confident that the lexus won't have the finesse to CONTROL that power.
to begin, its weight distribution will be off because of the stretched hood and the positioning of a large V8 forward of the axle. and lexus has yet to build a car that feels great in handling terms.
