Board members of General Motors' troubled car maker Saab will meet in Sweden today to discuss plans to wind down the unit even as last-minute bids emerged, a person familiar with the situation said. At least two suitors made offers on Thursday, but the meeting is expected to deal mainly with the looming wind-down process ordered by GM, the person said.
"What happens with the bids is fully up to GM to decide and so I find it hard to see that any sort of stance (on the bids) will be taken during the meeting," said the person, who could not be named because of the sensitive nature of the talks.
