Whatever MT. You talk so much crap it's funny. If it wasn't for Mercedes, Lexus wouldn't have been created. So don't get it twisted. You're just jealous MB and Aston are working together and it's MB supplying engines and not Toyota. If you were a real car enthusiast and not drive your dad's Camry you would appreciate what's happening here. I'm excited to hear about this collaboration between these two prestigious brands.

US is the Toyota's premium brand's main stage to shine. It was originally made for the North American market to take on the likes of Mercedes, BMW, and other luxury brands and with one of the best marketing teams in the world they did their job and gave Toyota owners the chance to own a luxury car and a cheaper price.

Lexus hasn't done well because of their designs. Their cars were never "fast" or "beautiful". They just based off Toyota's reliability and went from there.

Mercedes is still the marquee brand for luxury. It's the most well known luxury brand besides the uber-luxury makers.

Ford should just sell Aston to Daimler AG. It will get em out of the hole and will place the company in good hands.

It was already sold in '07 to Prodrive of UK, Ford only holds 10% of the shares.

This could be really be something, Benz's technology combined with Aston's styling and design, sounds promising.

That would have been a great idea except Ford only owns about 8% stake in Aston Martin and sold the rest to UK based Prodrive back on 2007.

It sounds like a great deal for Aston Martin. However, what's in it for Daimler? Certainly a company with its financial resources, technical acumen and prestige can develop its own supercar without a partner.

you think so? mclaren and now Black series variants and SLC. it sounds like they've spent money all over the place trying to set up a line of out'n'out sportscars. it would be simpler to buy aston martin.

This explains why a really big Aston Martin dealership opened next to a Mercedes dealership in central Houston. I hope the collaboration is good for both of them.
