Self-driving cars are the stuff of the future, or are they? With various automakers and even Google already testing prototypes, the future might be nearer than we think.

The general consensus is that these driverless cars will greatly reduce accidents by eliminating human error, and that’s something we can’t argue with.

Supporting our views on the matter, the guys at InsuranceQuotes.org have put together an infographic highlighting the potential of self-driving cars. Apparently, an America full of them will see a 90 percent reduction in its traffic accidents, in the number of vehicles on its roads and in wasted commute time and energy. Color us impressed, if true.
