You've Hit the Big Time - Money No Longer is an Object: What Cars Will YOU Be Driving?
Earlier this week AutoSpies.com reader AudiRevolution posed the question asking what car(s) do you currently drive.  It was obvious based on the number of contributions that a lot of you had fun not only answering the question, but making observations about cars others are fortunate enough to drive.

If money was no object, I am sure we would see a lot more cars listed, perhaps whole lists of automobiles by each and everyone of you, but sadly that is not the case.  But what if it was.  What if you walked into work Monday morning and where rewarded with a huge bonus, or massive increase in pay thereby allowing you the good fortune of being able to buy whatever car you want.

The fantasy is always fun to consider because when money is no object, the automobiles available get fun really fast.  In doing this we should have a ground rule or two to help keep us in line, so lets limit our choices to no more than four cars.  As much fun as it would be to assume we would buy every car we ever wanted, the reality is that even if you were insanely wealthy, there probably would be some restraint in terms of the cars you buy.  So knowing that price is no limit, and you can buy up to four cars, what would they be?

For me this is a tough question because like the rest of you I could make a list 50 or 60 cars long in a heartbeat and then be able to add on to that after the initial review.  In making my choices I took into consideration what my wife would drive, and the fact that our 2-year old son would need to have at least one car capable of transporting the required child seat.  With this in mind, here are my choices.

I would start with a Bentley Continental Flying Spur.  This car truly creates a presence whether it is pulling up to an intersection or to a valet, and outfitting it in black exterior with red leather interior would set this car apart from others on the road.  The fact it also has a 6.0 liter V-12 engine with 552 HP ensures rapid transit no matter where you are heading.

My next choice would be the Ferrari 599GTB Fiorano.  This ultimate Ferrari has the performance of an Enzo with the luxury and comfort of a grand tourer.  Also equipped with a 12-Cylinder engine, this Ferrari has people lining up to wait out their turn for the chance to own this masterpiece.  Of course if money was no object i could buy my way to the front of the line, or pay a ridiculous mark-up for the opportunity to own this Ferrari.

Of course as much fun as both of those 2 cars are, they aren't always practical for day-to-day driving, as such a Mercedes-Benz S63 would join the fleet along with a Porsche 911 Turbo.  The S63 is a great stealth car, only the true enthusiast would recognize the S63 from a standard issue S550 equipped with the AMG package, however that hand built 6.2 liter engine packs a punch when you step on the go pedal.

The 911 Turbo although not quite as stealth as the S63, does blend into the back ground a lot more than the Ferrari, plus the bonus of a back seat will allow my son to ride along as he gets a little older.

While I think my fantasy garage is pretty good, I am looking forward to seeing what some of you come up with.  I know there will be something listed that of course I missed, notice there is no Lamborghini on my list even though the new Gallardo ranks very high on my list of wants, and as much as I love BMW, they didn't make the list.

Hey, money is no object this weekend, have some fun, spend a little and lets see the list you come up with.

I'm so glad someone wants some real classic luxury. Some people on this site give the impression that they don't know anything about cars built before they were born, circa 1990.

I'm glad someone can appreciate my taste. I absolutely love Duesenbergs and automobiles from the 20's and 30's in general- they are the very definition of timeless classicism and have a sort of sophistication that I really don't see today. They are sort of Marlene Dietrich come automobile.

This is the sort of question I love the most.

So let me see...
I'm a luxury sort of guy, so a car that massages every occupant, provides unlimited TV and internet access, a flat bed...I can go on and on, and the only companies that would customize such cars for you and also have space for all the amenities are Rolls Royce, Bentley, and Maybach.

I can't wait for the new Rolls Royce that's supposedly more luxurious and expensive than the Phantom. Otherwise, I'd choose the Phantom EWB (extended wheelbase). It's BIG, and I LOVE IT!!! x]

what Rolls is that? I thought they were working on a smaller 7-series based Rolls sedan to compete with the Bentley Continental Flying Spur at the $200k price point.

I don't know much about it either. It was a one time news about BMW trademarking a name that was previously used on high-end models, which led spectators to think it wasn't the baby-Rolls.

And I would design and build my own house that would have the highest LEED rating and that would be completely energy independent running on green energy.

Great list. I wrote this article last night and then went to sleep. When I woke up this morning, I realized I would probably not get the 911 Turbo instead choosing the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. I know, the Lamborghini is not subtle in any way, but it sure would be a lot of fun. And for the record, I am a purist, I would get it with a clutch and gear shift, not the E-gear transmission.

For nostalgia's sake, I would probably try to find a '88 or '89 BMW M3 as well, ideally in the gray that they offered along with the red leather. I do have a thing for red leather!

Well I would definitely buy the Aston Martin DB9 for my sports car. It is beautiful as well as fun to drive. For a daily or weekend driver, I would say the Maserati Quattroporte GT S. I also think the new Ferrari California for a fun convertible.
Now I also would have to have an incognito car.... meaning a car if I went out on a date and I don't want her to be too excited that I have an s*load of money in the bank cause I ain't lookin' for a gold digger. So I would possibly buy a BMW M3 or something like a Dodge Challenger or '10 Camaro SS.

Well, for daily driving it would be my IS300, because for sentimental reasons, it's the first car I ever paid for with my own money. Then it would be a M3 (coupe or sedan), or the rest of the M line. Due to the fact that I live in a area where there is no real place to enjoy a supercar other than stoplight drag racing,I think it is best to have a car that can enjoy, but have some sort of practicality to it.
Them, it would the new Ferrari California in black, and the new SL65 AMG Black series, in black, the AMV8 in black, the DBS in black, and a F430 in that light blue color.

Bentley GT (for the wife, she likes 'em)
RR Sport SC x 2 (one for me and one for the wife, she also likes 'em)
F430 (for me, I like 'em)
Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (for tough winter days, dirty jobs, and carrying the dogs)
S63 (proper family sedan)
Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins Turbo Diesel...since money is no object here, I'll need something to tow my 42' Outerlimits w/ twin staggered 1200SCi's :)

This is what I would get:
BMW 850 CSI

1968 Shelby Mustang GT500 (Elenor)

2008 Shelby Mustang GT500 KR

Audi s5- Have been driving it recently and slowly falling in love.

2 BMW E92 M3- One hardtop convertible and the other with the carbon fiber roof.

E46 BMW M3 CSL

1997 Porsche Turbo S- Last air cooled Porsche

Bentley Arnage Turbo

Ferrari F40

Audi RS4

Audi R8

Ferrari 599GTB Fiorano

Rolls Royce Phantom - To get driven around in.

Everything would be Black on Black except maybe the M3 coupe might be in white to show off the carbon fiber roof.

I know its a long list, but money is no object so might as well go all out. I would also join one of those car country clubs so I can enjoy my cars and race them on the tracks they have there, or I would just build a track in my back yard.

O yea, and an X5 4.8 (the older model) for my bad weather car. And the Mustangs wouldn't be in black, elenor would be the color it is in Gone in 60 Seconds and the GT 500 KR would be silver with 2 blue pinstripes coming down the middle as advertised in every magazine, or Black with red pin stripes.

A Fisker Latigo CS. I love what they've done with the M6.

Or an 850CSI

My list is probably not as over-the-top as some, but I've had the fantasy before, many times:

Need #1: House with remote climate-controlled warehouse for cars ;-)

• DD: CL65AMG
• Zinger: Aston Martin V8 Vantage (Okay, there are more powerful ones, but I love the V8 Vantage)
• Touring: S550 (I know, better options are available, but it doesn't scream, "kidnap me, I'm a zillionaire" ;) )
• Trailer Hauler: Ford F350 SD Crew TD (for hauling the 'new and improved toy box'...I'll donat the current toy box to charity ;) )

• Wifes DD: BMW M5 (Hey, she really likes the 5, what can I say?)
• Wife's 'girls' car: BMW 335i Retractable Hard Top
• Kid hauler: GL550

If I had to have one over the top car it would have to be a Carrera GT.
