The problem with the average consumer is that he doesn't have money to burn on a car that he perceives to have limitations or to be at risk of obsolescence. Rich people can afford cars with limited utility (cause they can afford many), can painlessly deal with depreciation when newer technology makes their old car undesirable, and they crave the status conferred by new technology. In other words, they are a better target when you want to develop new technology. That’s how Dad did it, that’s how America does it, and… it’s worked out pretty well so far.

I mean, think about the prices of personal computers in their early days ($9,995 for the Apple Lisa). Earlier versions where cheaper, but only because they did so little. Hybrid cars now are little bit like like those earlier PCs--better than a calculator, but not dramatically so. Now is the time to kick development into high gear by targeting people who can afford to be guinea pigs. It will eventually filter down to the masses the way technology always does.

A car that cost almost $100K is VERY limited in scoop and reach when it comes to the average individual if many haven't noticed lately. Keith Oberman was kicked off of regular news.
They say that you can know a person by the people they run with and Olbermann's chummy nature and growing contribution list for the ultra radical Daily Kos has made it abundantly clear who he has made his closest bed fellows. Yes, birds of a feather do flock together and Olbermann and the Daily Kos make for some very dirty birds. Last but not least Olbermann suffers from an extreme case of the forked tongue debilitation, that's right, he is just plain and simply a liar. Olbermann routinely displays his metaphysical math skills, as he is dedicated to demonstrating how having one-half of O'Reilly's ratings actually means his show is more valuable to advertisers, citing something about ages 25-54 being "more important".

What you guys are failing to see is, just because we has an administration (George Bush) that placed this country in a horrible situation and despite how we went into war, at least some good has came out of it DESPITE what we did and many can agree, we should have done things way the hell differently. We as a country should have never allowed the Bush Administration to get us into debt by not vetoing bills that came across his desk and now we have to pay for all that s&$t and our children. But now to say we stand by and say nothing to a President that is doing some of the same stupid things Bush did is blind and ignorant. We can't keep allowing debt upon debt to pile up and not say something. Forget Dems and Reps and just look at what has happened and what will happen. Look at things through a filter of ideas from beginning to end and you will see how bad ideas BOTH administration have. Just because the government gave use choices of two individuals doesn't mean they were the best at all. As a matter of fact, they should not even have been up to choose. Sometimes its best not to have even voted in Obama and even Mc Cain because their plans are just gasoline on a burning building. What amazes me, is most will never, ever read House Bill 3200. The Dems just voted for no disclosure before voting for it, and we are to pay for it. Can you accept this? It was also voted yesterday that we will not be able to know the cost before the vote. That is bold.

During a weekend interview, a Obama official top Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said she wants the controversial end-of-life counseling proposal to remain in the final version of the health care bill Obama may receive (This is what is considered Death Panels). The counseling, which skeptics say a mounts to "death panels" could promote assisted suicide and health are rationing.

The sections are found in the House version of the health care bills and they call for giving doctors financial incentives to discuss end-of-life issues.

Critics complain that doctors should not be paid to have the discussions and worry that they will promote assisted suicide in states where the practice is legal and promote rationing such as the denial of lifesaving medical treatment or food and water.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said Sunday on ABC’s "This Week" that, "I'm hoping that at the end of the day it will be part of the overall the package."

Sebelius explained the reasons for including the language, which was written in the House by a pro-euthanasia group.
On the organization's web site, a spokesman confirms Compassion's involvement, writing, "Compassion & Choices has worked tirelessly with supportive members of Congress to include in proposed reform legislation a provision requiring Medicare to cover patient consultation with their doctors about end-of-life choice (section 1233 of House Bill 3200)."

H.R. 3200 does not expressly address how such a situation would be treated.
