Tesla has announced that the monthly subscription for its Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature is now $99 – halved from its previous price of $199 per month. The announcement came via X (Twitter) a day after Tesla CEO Elon Musk mentioned a price cut on the social media platform and a few weeks after offering a one-month free trial.
Of note, the discount on the monthly subscription didn't affect the outright purchase offer when buying a Model 3 or any eligible Tesla vehicle, which is still valued at $12,000. Introduced in 2021, subscription-based FSD is now more attainable than before, plus owners can cancel anytime (as opposed to outright purchase).
