The new Mercedes BLK is based on the C-Class and will be offered in 3 body styles: coupe, hath and convertible. This represents the answer from Mercedes to the successful Bmw 1-Series and is expected to attract young buyers. Mercedes could base these small cars on the larger rear-wheel drive C-Class platform, which would allow larger engines especially for the American auto market.
