According to Autobild, the IS-F Racer making the rounds at the Tokyo Auto Salon is not a Lexus. In fact, it is a Opel DTM Vectra (Think Chevy Malibu/Saturn Aura). Even the engine is not a Lexus V-8 but that of an Opel. Now, this is common practice in NASCAR where the racers have no semblance to their production street models. However, one would assume that Lexus would shoe-horn their V-8 into the Opel Chassis. No word or comment from Lexus at the Tokyo Auto Salon
