Okay, before you say I'm picking on Obama (which I'm not and in no way is this article meant to disrespect him), I'm curious about this subject...
From what I can see his focus in all of his speeches is that he intends to get the people who make over $250k to pay the majority of the bill to fund his initiatives.
So, as I sit here on a Sunday bouncing between football games and the political stump, I began to wonder how this strategy will effect the premium car companies.
And one of the ways our government raised money under the Clinton's was with the luxury tax on high end items.
To be honest with you, if I had my way, I wish they would abolish the IRS and just put a flat 15% tax on all goods.
No deductions, no loopholes, just 15% on everything we consume.
Do you think if Obama wins (as far as the polls go he's already won) that the luxury tax could make a comeback?
And would it be good or bad?
