Audi will celebrate its 100th birthday with a horde of 50 events, with the most significant event being the gala festival in Ingolstadt on July 16. Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, is said to be joining the event. After the gala festival, a couple of days later, Audi will stage a special soccer tournament dubbed the Audi Cup.
Then on the 29th and 30th of July, four outstanding teams will challenge each other in the Allianz Arena in Munich. The teams include AC Milan, Boca Juniors, FC Bayern and Manchester United. There will also be classic car rallies and trade events together with special exhibits at the Audi mobile museum. Previews of the latest Audis that will make an appearance in the near future will also be part of the celebration. Audi will further expand the derivatization in the B segment in the present year with the A5 Sportback.
