The US Postal Service is currently growing and upgrading its huge fleet of 220,000 vehicles which gathers over 1.2 billion miles driven per year. With an investment of $210 million the company will bring new fuel efficient models in the fleet from producers like Chrysler, Ford and General Motors, replacing around 6,500 old ones.

The new comers are divided as follows: 1.000 units are E-85 ethanol-capable, 900 units are hybrids and the rest of 4,600 are standard cars with 4-cylinder gasoline-powered engines.
