Audi reported an operating profit of 823 million euros in the first half of the year, down from 1.3 billion euros in the same period last year. In the first 6 months of 2009, Audi sold 466,000, while it sold 516,219 units in 2008, a 9.7% drop.
Audi board member Axel Strotbek said that the company is very satisfied with the result but that it does expect to experience some difficulties in the second half.
