These are the patent drawings obtained of the upcoming Mini 4×4. These illustrate that the Mini Beachcomber Concept that was recently revealed is a stripped down version of the production car. It’s likely that this 4×4 will be called the Countryman or Crossman.

It measures a little over four meters and it gives the Mini a family appeal. The Beachcomber is inspired by the original Mini Moke from 1964. It is also used to explore design ideas that could find their way onto future derivatives of the Countryman. Instead of the Cowley facility in the UK, the Countryman will be manufactured by Magna at its Graz plant in Austria.
