Lotus is using an image of their hybrid rolling chassis to tease the Proton Hybrid Concept.  The plug-in hybrid will be introduced during the Geneva Motor Show next week.

The five-door concept, and its Italdesign-styled exterior, will be a departure from Lotus' sports car production.  This Proton is a small, five-door urban vehicle capable of limited all-electric use.  It features a three-cylinder 1.2-liter Range Extender engine, seen last year at Frankfurt, which can recharge the battery if needed.  The battery sends power to the motor and its single-speed transmission...
