U.S. safety regulators announced today that are currently investigating Volvo Car Corp. SUVs due to intermittent electronics defects in components such as headlights and turn signals because these may raise the risk of an accident.

The affected models are the Volvo XC90s for model years 2004 and 2005, and according to NHTS there were complaints about intermittent malfunctions of the components in city driving and at highway speeds.
