Ford confirmed that the 411-hp 6.2-liter V8 will exclusively power the 2011 SVT Raptor dirt devil. It can be recalled that the 6.2-liter V8 made its debut as the optional motor for 2010.
The switch came about because of the 2011 phase-out of the 5.4-liter V8 from the F-150 line. A truck version of the Mustang’s 5.0-liter will be the replacement. The 310-hp 5.4 is capable of powering the big, heavy Raptor to accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in a decent 8.4 seconds
