Although now we have finally gotten an official look at the all-new 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS-class we have yet to see the AMG version. Granted, the changes usually are not that substantial.

But, as you can see below, the spy photographers in Europe got a nice batch of a camouflaged Mercedes-Benz CLS63 undergoing some shakedown testing on the Nurburgring.

Power is expected to be derived from the new 5.5-liter AMG powerplant. With that in mind, it will likely boast 536 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. If that's just not enough, an optional performance package will bump it up to 563 horsepower.

Mercedes’ performance arm, AMG, is already ramping up development of the hot version of the CLS — as these spy pictures of the test hack lapping the Nürburgring prove.

The CLS63 AMG will be powered by the same twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 motor as the recently launched CL63 AMG...
