The car that most people thought would look like a bigger trainwreck in Los Angeles than Lindsay Lohan was the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet. The automotive press only knew Nissan was going to chop the top off.

No one knew if that meant that there would be two doors, four doors or a gigantic roll bar. Whatever it would be, I am pretty sure not one single person expected this. A Nissan Murano trying desperately to be a 370Z Roadster with two extra seats that are functional.

That's the thing though, no one can figure out who was asking for this.

But if it has more space and room for your gear, this may just be the most practical convertible yet. If that's the case, you can bet other automakers will soon follow Nissan's lead.

Hell, even Audi had a similar concept way back in 2007. Nissan just took the ball and didn't look back!
