As part of Porsche’s goal to double global sales within three years, it may develop a small SUV and a sports car smaller than the Boxster. According to Bernhard Maier, head of sales and marketing at Porsche AG, the company wants to look into smaller and less expensive models but he clarified that no decision has been made.
Maier said that the small SUV has been code-named “Cajun,” which is short for Cayenne Jr. He added that because of the Cayenne SUV’s success, Porsche became more confident to consider “other opportunities.”
