Porsche’s 2011 Cayenne S Hybrid has been named as a Qualified Hybrid Motor Vehicle, making it eligible for the Alternative Motor Vehicle Tax Credit. Porsche’s first production hybrid, the Cayenne S Hybrid is able to sprint from a standstill to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 6.1 seconds and it has a top speed of 150 mph (241 km/h), while offering 20/24 mpg US (city/highway). It has a base price before federal tax credit of $67,700, excluding destination charges. Those who have bought a new Cayenne S Hybrid sport utility vehicle before the end of 2010 may be eligible for a one-time tax credit of up to US$1,800.
