Chrysler Group’s CEO Sergio Marchionne revealed that investment banker Goldman Sachs will be one of the advisers for its initial public stock offering, which is anticipated to take place in the fourth quarter. In an interview with Automotive News, Marchionne said that Goldman Sachs was the adviser of Fiat S.p.A in the spin-off of its truck unit. Goldman Sachs has also been advising Chrysler in the refinancing of its debt. Marchionne described Goldman Sachs as being “too big to ignore” and as being “incredibly effective.”
