Well, it looks like Infiniti is preparing to spread its wings and fly. While it currently offers the rough and tumble QX56, which we have lovingly dubbed "Fudgie The Whale" after last year's New York Auto Show, the brand wants to embark on more of a crossover route.
We can't blame them either since I can't think of one great package, overall. The only luxury crossover that can hold seven, that I can think of -- at least right now --, is the Lincoln MKT. Although many regard its ride as fantastic, it leaves plenty to be desired for in the styling department.
Given that Infiniti has created some winners and...less-than winners, it'll be interesting to see how this seven-passenger beast shapes up, literally.

Infiniti is planning to enter new territories by introducing an all-new 7-seater luxury crossover designated the JX. Teased here in a blurry sketch, the mid-size model will be shown in concept form at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this August, and in production guise at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show in November, before going on sale in the U.S. in spring 2012 as a 2013 model...
