Porsche's, particularly the air-cooled variety, tend to have a relatively unique sound. Sure they may have that six cylinder throatiness but when the motor's idle it seems to have a bit of a chatter to it. To some it is an iconic note that they wouldn't change for the world. For others, it is boring.

Where do you stand?

Thanks to our friends at GTspirit, a user of theirs managed to capture the new 911 undergoing testing on film. As you can see, the car has next to no camouflage and is seen exiting a gas station.


...The video below shows the sports car starting up and driving away from the petrol station and a traffic light. The exhaust of the 3.8 liter flat six engine sounds a bit boring and isn’t really different from any contemporary 997 Carrera S. The electronic roof and the rear braking light between the openings in the engine cover are easily visible...
