There is a reason that guys like Todd Cooperider exist. It's because he has a serious passion for high-quality paint and also knows how to fix something well after it has been ruined.

Not only have we seen his high-end work on exotics but now we're going to tune into something a little different. A 1979 Fiat Spider.

This time the problem's a little different and that's because Cooperider wasn't sent in to restore the paint from a dealer's poor preparation. This time Cooperider had to correct the handiwork, or lack thereof, from someone's work that resulted in a ridiculous amount of overspray on the Spider.

Although it's hard to believe, this 1970s Fiat was once a beautiful dark blue.

Most car enthusiasts are mindful of where they park their cars, and they can usually be found at the very backs of parking lots or simply avoid areas where there is a chance of getting door dings from clueless people who don’t hold the same value and respect for their vehicles.

But door dings aren’t the only damages we need to watch out for…we also need to steer clear of construction work especially where any type of painting or coating is taking place. Much of this work is done by compressed air, which means a fine mist of paint will go airborne and attach itself to anything and everything that it comes in contact with. I’ve seen a lot of cars that have small specs of paint on them, and I know that at some point it was parked too close to a careless worker applying paint. These small specs of paint can be removed, but it is a laborious task and the job can become expensive in a hurry.


A few weeks ago I received a phone call from the owner of a 1979 Fiat Spider, and he said that he had an overspray problem on his classic car...
