According to the latest news from BMW forums, the next-generation 3-Series will feature a new look never seen before on a production BMW. Word on the street is saying this is the BEST representation of the all-new 3'er and that's mainly because of a confirmation from Scott26, who has seen the all-new 3-Series.
Where the 3 will differentiate itself from other BMW products is in the headlight and grille area. The best way to describe it would be that the latest design will leave the grille exposed to the headlight area, something which reminds me of the way the headlights and grille were integrated in the E30 design. It's sort of like a nod to the old days with a contemporary twist.

The headlight-grille area features deep set headlights which dip inward to expose the sides of the kidney grilles. We've been getting hints of this new styling element with recent BMW concepts. This innovative design not only differentiates the F30's front end look from the rest of the BMW sedan lineup, but also makes it distinctive among the entire sports sedan class....
