Thanks to a Agent 001's handiwork, we got a hold of photographs depicting the 2013 Lexus ES. Considering this is one of Lexus' oldest products in its line up, it needed a proper update badly.
Now the entry-level luxury sedan is sporting all-new sheet metal and a modern interior that should make it more class competitive. But wow, Lexus has really dialed up the sportiness for 2013. Notice the all-new front valence with the GS-inspired grille, and edgier styling. Notice the LS-inspired taillights and C-Pillar?
If I didn't know any better, I'd say Lexus is trying to take the ES a bit more upmarket.
But a funny thing occured to me today. I was thinking about this ES and now that we've seen the leaked photos of the all-new RX, which will get an F-Sport model, is the ES next in line for the F treatment?
I mean, if the RX got one, it only makes sense that the super sedate ES would get one too, right?
In addition, I am also a bit curious: Do YOU think this new, sportier look works for cars in the Lexus portfolio that are meant to be sold to the Palm Beach, 65 and older crowd?
